I stayed here with my adult daughter and my 12 year old son. The staff was fantastic. I love them. Actually, my brothers' families were with us during our stay and we got 4 rooms in all. The parking is very safe. Also, they were very accommodating. It is close to everything. The walls were kinda thin because I can hear my brother snoring in the other room. Maybe his snore is really just loud LOL. Other than that, we had a perfect stay.
Enjoyed the stay. Clean rooms. Meet little upstairs patio overlooking the pool, little bit of shade little bit of sun which ever you choose. Nice part of town w/ easy access to great little shops. Just a few blocks from “Spaces” where we always go to have our meetings. Every time I go, I like to go to Cartel Coffee just a few blocks away – best coffee around!
We will never stay here again. We attend events roughly 3 times a year in the Scottsdale area. I usually send 20+ people each time. I will NEVER send my team to this resort, or any other Aloft property ever again. This property specifically has the most incredibly rude management team I've ever come across in my 15 years of running conferences. We placed a reservation hold with a credit card on file. Marriott's policy is that if the guest checking in does not have the same last name as the credit card on file, either a credit card authorization form needs to be completed by the cc holder, or a separate card must be charged. My card was used to hold the reservation but had specific details NOT to charge it and that the guest checking in would provide their own card. When my colleague went to provide his own card as instructed, the front desk claimed that their system was down and they cannot take manual payments, so they illegally charged my credit card without the credit card authorization form completed OR written approval from me. In fact, the notes on the reservation said to NOT charge my card and my colleague demanded that his card be charged. They refused. Here we are 3 months later....still no resolve. We've called 10+ times each (3 of us) and every time we are told "Our system is down". They refuse to issue a refund AND to add a cherry on top - Cody literally hangs up on all of us mid sentence any time we call. I called the Marriott, and they too are appalled at this locations business ethics. They are helping us dispute directly through our cc company. Overall, I'm glad this happened because now I will avoid sending any business their way and have advised my other event colleagues to do the same. We found a different venue nearby and will be giving them a million and a half to run our event. (400k of which on hotel room blocks)
To start off I am a local in the area and see myself always coming back to Aloft in Scottsdale. From my first stay until now the staff has always been very welcoming and friendly! I must say Megan!, at the front desk has always been amazing and met all of my expectations. It’s such a convenient location, stay here for a great deals and amazing service!
Hospitality was great. All the staff welcomed us and made sure our stay was amazing. Roberta and Segal recommend great restaurants and provided directions to the nearest grocery store for us. Even Jimmy the security guard took care of us when we came in late at night. Thank you again for a great stay.
